For
the second time Practical Sailor has rated Fujinon's Polaris'
7x50 binocular first over every other brand of binocular tested.
In a Yachting magazine binocular round up, the author chose
Fujinon's Polaris as the one binocular he'd buy, Sky and Telescope
magazine named the Polaris FMT-SX 10x70 and FMT-SX 16x70 binoculars
tops for astronomy, and Western Outdoors summed it all up
by saying... "You won't find a brighter set of glasses anywhere."
So clearly better and brighter, the Polaris series delivers light
transmission in excess of 95%, 23mm eye relief, tripod mountablity,
and construction that complies with the most stringent U.S. military
specifications imposed. The housings are made of light alloy for
maximum durability with minimal weight, and are dry nitrogen purged
and sealed. Rubber armored models, which provide extra impact protection
and are easier to grip when wet, include Fujinon's unique attached
lens caps. The 7x50 is also available with a compass.
